هر سال شمارش میزان فروش گیشه در اولین یکشنبه سال بعد به پایان می رسد. سال بعد شمارش گیشه از روز بعد (دوشنبه) آغاز می شود. به عنوان مثال، “باکس آفیس یا میزان فروش گیشه فیلم ها برای سال ۲۰۰۴″ روز یکشنبه ۲ ژانویه ۲۰۰۵ به پایان می رسد. باکس آفیس به معنی میزان فروش می باشد.
